Your day to day

Every plate has the potential to create a memory that lasts a lifetime for our guests. To deliver all this and more, we’re looking for a Demi Chef De Partie with a passion for presentation, dedication to flavor and commitment to setting high standards from workspace to table and beyond.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests and hosts
• Provides direction to the kitchen attendants, including cooks and stewards
• Communicates with superior any for difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information
• Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
• Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
• Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
• Maintains a clean and hygienic work area
• Implements the hotel and department regulations, policies and procedures including but not limited to:

• House Rules and Regulation
• Health and Safety
• Grooming
• Standard Operations Procedures
• HACCP
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
• Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds
• Taking ownership for your workstation – keeping on top of supplies, equipment and waste.
• Taking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team player.

What We need from you:

● The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling

● A good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths

● The flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts

● Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol – you’ll need to be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language

● Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
