Job description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Procurement Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) procurement within the construction industry and possess in-depth knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market. This role will involve managing the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for MEP materials and services, aligning with project requirements and company objectives.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Conduct regular performance reviews and maintain a strong network within the Abu Dhabi market.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
• Tendering Process: Prepare and manage tender documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and invitations to bid (ITBs).
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with local regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
• Budget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, providing regular reports and updates to project managers and senior management.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit and reference purposes.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and reliability.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and pricing fluctuations in the Abu Dhabi market.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with project timelines and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP procurement within the construction industry, with specific experience in the Abu Dhabi market.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP materials, equipment, and services. Familiarity with local suppliers and market dynamics in Abu Dhabi.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent are preferred.
