Job Type: Full-timeJob OverviewAs a Stock Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to manage stockroom operations, including receiving, tagging, storing, and issuing merchandise. This role is essential for maintaining stock accuracy, supporting sales staff with timely replenishment, and ensuring high standards in back-of-house logistics.Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming merchandise and verify counts both physically and electronically
- Inspect product quality and report any damages or discrepancies to the store manager
- Classify, organize, and store products in designated areas to ensure quick access
- Tag new stock or return items as per senior staff instructions
- Assist sales team by restocking shelves to ensure product availability at all times
- Maintain security awareness to prevent loss or theft within the store
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping in the stockroom area
- Support the store team during peak sale periods by working extended hours if required
- Lift and move heavy items (up to 10 kg) as part of regular stock handling duties
- Maintain inward/outward inventory logs and ensure reports are updated accurately
- Report missing price tags and ensure proper labeling of merchandise
- Assist in periodic and annual stock-taking processes as directed
Job RequirementsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Previous experience in retail stock handling, inventory, or warehouse operations is preferred
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness for manual stock handling and lifting
- Ability to work under pressure during busy retail periods
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
