Job description: The Department of Mechanical Engineering- College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to fill the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant. The successful candidate needs to have obtained a Phd. in Mechanical Engineering or any closely related field. The candidate is expected to conduct research in the following areas:

• Advanced material processing
• Mechanical testing and material characterization
• Sustainable manufacturing
• Material modeling.

Responsibilities and Duties Required

• Conduct literature review.
• Run experiments.
• Data management.
• Analyze results.
• Prepare progress reports on regular basis.
• Help in mentoring graduate students.
• Assist in preparing journal and conference articles.
• Other duties may be assigned according to the progress of research.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.
• A strong foundation in conducting research related to these fields is essential.
