The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at Khalifa University of Science and Technology (KU), Abu Dhabi, UAE is prominent academic unit within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences with a long tradition of excellence in academic teaching and research. EE encompasses cutting-edge fields such as energy, power, control and robotics. EE offers BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering, MSc and PhD programs in ECE.
The EE department invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor rank in the area of “Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in various fields, such as, robotics, smart grids and/or control”. Candidates with strong research and teaching background in the above-mentioned areas will be considered. The candidates should have experience in teaching courses related to AI, ML and data science and their applications.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in related disciplines from an accredited institution is required. Preference will be given to candidates with education from and/or previous service in distinguished institutions of higher education. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service.
Candidates should have an established research reputation or outstanding research potential, the ability to attract external research funding, and a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
