• Modern, contemporary teaching in grades 1 to 10/12 in the subjects Arabic (Islamic and social studies) for students with Arabic as a first and as a second language.
• Openness to taking on non-subject-specific lessons by arrangement.
• Active participation in teamwork, especially in the Arabic department and in the foreign language department.
• Planning and organisation of extracurricular projects such as school trips, excursions, projects, AGs.
• Co-organisation and implementation of school events.
• Active participation in the dynamic development of the school.
• Participation in regular further training and independent professional development of teaching quality.

QualificationsJob profile:

• Bachelor of Education and degree in Arabic (and/or Islamic Studies).
• Excellent knowledge of English and preferably very good knowledge of German language.
• If possible, teaching experience in the German system.
• Experience with competence-oriented, language-sensitive teaching and cooperative, open forms of learning.
• Friendly, reliable, resilient, honest, cooperative, and communicative personality.
• Acute sense of responsibility, professionalism in teaching and in dealing with the team and management.
• Close cooperation with the head of the Arabic department, the integration officer, and the school management.
• Willingness to embrace novel approaches and accept existing structures.
• Openness to supervision and further training for professional development.
• A high degree of empathy and a motivating demeanour when working with children, parents, and staff.
• Intercultural sensitivity and openness towards families with different backgrounds and languages.
