Role Purpose:
Lead on developing innovative solutions that meet the DCT’s business and technical needs. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, develop strategic solutions, and oversee the successful implementation of these solution. Ensure translating the business needs to functional and non-functional specifications, and subsequently design holistic and scalable technical solutions that are aligned with DCT Technology standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Applications:
- Lead on capturing, analyzing , and documenting business requirements and insights on business technology needs, translate it into functional and non-functional specifications, and subsequently design holistic and scalable technical solutions that are aligned with DCT Tech standards.
- Oversee the conduction of feasibility studies and impact assessments of technology solutions.
- Manage on reviewing proposed system designs in-line with the desired strategies of the technology department.
- Ensure designing holistic and scalable solutions based on the captured requirements, in alignment with DCT technology standards.
- Direct the team to closely collaborate with the business partners and technical teams to select appropriate technologies.
- Develop and present strategic solutions that align with business goals and technical standards.
- Drive unification, agility, scalability, and adoption of technology solutions.
- Select appropriate technologies and platforms in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring that the proposed systems meet both the technology department and the business departments strategic intents.
- Oversee the design and architecture of complex solutions in-line with the defined strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Create and maintain documentation related to solution design, architecture, and implementation.
Shared Activity:
- Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into section business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies.
- Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager.
- Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Demonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (Master’s degree preferred) in Science, Information Technology or any other decree within relevant industry.
- Relevant certifications (Certified Solutions Architect or similar)
Experience:
- Significant extensive experience of at least 4-6 years in solution architecture and design preferably in a similar field tourism, museums / cultural institutions, marketing.
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
- In-depth technical knowledge of business applications architectures, frameworks, and platforms, such as CRM.
- Proven experience in managing full software development project and delivery, including analysis, design, development, and implementation and/or a proven ability to lead development and optimization of concurrent products of varying size and complexity.
Skills:
- Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing.
- Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
- Strong knowledge of the documentation essential for all digital projects such as scope of work and project brief.
- Strong knowledge and strategic understanding of technical and digital markets, and current user trends.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders/vendors and crossfunctional team members.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner.
- Ability to quickly integrate with existing business software tools and knowledge of other relevant industry software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill – including appropriate stakeholder alignment.
