As Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business-critical systems powered by Newgen technologies. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage system configuration and troubleshooting, and deliver robust solutions using Java, APIs, and container-based technologies.Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional and technical support for Newgen-based applications and tools
- Design, develop, and maintain custom modules using Java, JSP, Servlets, and J2EE technologies
- Configure and administer Newgen BPM components such as OmniDocs, OmniFlow, and BAM reporting
- Develop RESTful and SOAP-based APIs for system integration with upstream and downstream applications
- Lead infrastructure and technical design aligned with agile and CI/CD methodologies
- Manage deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Handle application installation, patching, data model configuration, and problem resolution
- Guide BPM and ECM teams through standardized project delivery processes
- Automate key workflows and enhance system scalability through cloud-native practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure adherence to design patterns and system architecture
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL/Oracle, and integration design patterns
- Strong command of Newgen stack: OmniDocs, OmniFlow, Process Manager, BAM, APIs
- Experience in web development frameworks like React, Angular, and Next JS
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of application servers: JBoss, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic
- Hands-on experience with databases like MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres, or DB2
- Good knowledge of cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and containerization technologies
- Experience working in Agile methodology and CI/CD environments
- Ability to lead technical teams and deliver projects with efficiency and quality
