We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory, oversee stock levels, and ensure efficient operations of our storage facilities. The Storekeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting various departments’ material needs. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and supplies, ensuring they match purchase orders and quality standards.
- Organize and maintain the storage area, ensuring items are properly labeled, categorized, and easily accessible.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or manual tracking methods.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
- Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to facilitate the timely procurement of needed materials.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, investigating and resolving any discrepancies identified.
- Assist in developing and implementing efficient inventory control processes to optimize stock management.
- Collaborate with various departments to fulfill material requests and ensure timely delivery to support operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the storage area, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A degree or High school diploma, additional education, or training in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience (5 years) working as a Storekeeper or similar role, preferably in a vehicle, earth-moving equipment, or machinery.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software (SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills to interact with suppliers, colleagues, and other departments.
- Fluent communication in English and Urdu
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items as required.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and record-keeping principles.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies or supply shortages.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines for handling and storing various types of materials.
