In this full-time role, you will help maintain hygiene standards, clean equipment, assist in stock control, and ensure all dish stations and BOH zones function smoothly. Job Type: Full-timePrimary Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and ready for each scheduled shift
- Break down and clean dishwashing machines thoroughly during and after service
- Change dish machine water and debris baskets hourly for optimal performance
- Keep chemical levels maintained and report low stock to supervisors
- Refresh wash, rinse, and sanitizer tanks in the three-compartment sink regularly
- Ensure sanitizer test strips are available and follow hygiene standards
- Keep sink shelves dry and organized, and handwashing stations fully stocked
- Maintain clean, orderly dish stations with a tidy soil table for efficient operations
- Empty trash and recycling bins on schedule and as needed
- Clean soaking basins and store non-food orders and BOH supplies systematically
- Maintain a clean slop sink, glass rack area, and assist with kitchen equipment organization
- Follow all opening and closing procedures assigned by supervisors
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a steward or similar role preferred
- Physically fit with the ability to lift kitchen equipment and stand for long periods
- Strong work ethic, reliable time management, and willingness to follow cleaning schedules
- Comfortable working weekends and public holidays
- Basic communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Able to work as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
- Willingness to grow within the hospitality environment
