As a Trade Finance Officer within FAB’s Business Support Group, you will manage high-volume trade transactions for Wholesale and Consumer Banking clients. You will be responsible for processing, documentation, and risk oversight in accordance with global trade finance standards and internal operating procedures, contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end trade finance transactions including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Collections, and Trade Loans
- Ensure adherence to ICC rules (UCP600, URC522, URDG758, ISBP, etc.), local laws, and internal SOPs
- Maintain zero operational loss, income leakage, or high-risk errors
- Monitor TAT and achieve 95% or higher adherence to service level standards
- Deliver customer-focused service by maintaining a complaint-free, efficient processing environment
- Participate in internal audits and ensure nil breaches in compliance, reconciliations, and policy adherence
- Identify process improvements and contribute to departmental efficiency initiatives
- Support cross-functional desks as needed to maintain business continuity
- Handle documentation related to trade products including shipping, insurance, and IMB procedures
- Maintain updated knowledge of Incoterms 2010 and international banking regulations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; CITF certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in trade finance operations within a bank
- Strong understanding of trade documentation, ICC rules, and risk controls
- Familiarity with core banking systems and digital workflows
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access) and analytical tools
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical thinking skills
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and insurance-related trade processes is an advantage
